When he was a little kid, he was fond of joining dynamite fishing with his older freaky friends. At home, he was so naughty, so naughty that his mother decided to enrol him in a western school nearby even though he was too young to be formally admitted. From then on, his western education kept him occupied which minimized the damage he could have brought at home.
After graduation in college, he was inadvertently hired as an instructor at MSU, not because of his high qualifications but because a professor got sick at that time, that is, he became as a replacement. And up until now, he is just a replacement.
He was conferred the degree MS Physics in 2014 not because of his strong intellectual capacity but probably because his professors pitied him. His research papers presented at “13th Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao (Cebu, 2012)” and at “recent advances of nanotechnology (Cagayan De Oro, 2013)” won awards not because of its outstanding features but maybe because the judges had stomach-ache when they were casting their votes for their judgement (link here). In 2013, he was invited as guest speaker in the culmination program of the new school in Malabang, Islands Global Institute . . . not because of his reputation as an educator or researcher but because other invited guests declined out of fear of being robbed or kidnapped on the way there. His recent work about hydrogen peroxide sensor based on nanostructures got published in an international journal for which he was given an award by MSU-IIT, not for the reason of the elegance in the study but possibly because the renowned scientists, the referees of the journal were too tired to scrutinize and reject it.
